Anyway rating is based on what it is, a 2.1 surround sound system that I needed to improve on my LG 37LE5300 sound. It did that and more. Very happy with the end result as it is way more than just an improvement on the TV. I wanted a wireless sub because I hate having to run wires. Is it as good as an expensive Home Theater that costs many hundreds more, of course not. Does it make my LG sound better than it did before, you bet it does. My 60 years old ears needed some help and this baby does the trick and delivered what I needed and more. I like the following presets: "bass" for music "clearvoice" for Netflix streaming and the "Virtual" for DVDs and Blurays. Have not even had the volume up past 11 yet, so I am not sure what its limits are. I might still go out tonight and pick up another one at this price, before they go off sale.
